The distant ring of bells
I just learned that a childhood schoolmate of mine recently got engaged. Seems that most of my old friends are either engaged to be married, or already married, some of which have children already. It's just weird that when I think of my relationship with J that we're not at that point yet. Wait, but it's really not weird, I guess it just feels weird that we're not at that point yet because we've been together for a little over than 5 years. But it doesn't bother me that much. It's just not the right time for it. J and I are still working on establishing our careers, and I'm glad that we both agree on the fact that it's more important for us to individually get our lives in order before joining together as one.

is it someone from jeddah who just got engaged? whenever i hear about someone getting married from jeddah, what feels odd is how much our lives have changed since the last time i saw that person. i think its been about 10 - 12 years since i last saw you!

It's good to know that the both of you are happy where you're at. I feel that alot of people tend to rush at things instead of thinking things through, which is why alot of relationships and marriages fail. It's also why D. and I are taking our time in planning the wedding... to see if we can 'hang' by living together and growing together.
